The 2016 Market Place Open Enrollment period is quickly approaching.  The 2016 Open Enrollment period is November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2016.  At this time you are able to enroll in a health plan if you have not in prior years, make plan changes if you are currently enrolled and if enrolled you should update your income to make sure you are receiving correct subsidy amounts.    If you don’t enroll in a 2016 plan by 1-31-16, you cannot enroll in a health insurance plan for 2016 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period and the penalty for not having a qualified plan will be the higher of the two 2.5% of your yearly household income or $695 per person ($347.50 per child under 18).

Remember if you have a Special Enrollment period outside of the Open Enrollment period there is a 60 day window of which to enroll with health care.  We can assist with Special Enrollment needs as well.
